Wishing all our friends far and wide a very Happy New Year. Thank you for all your support in the last 10 years. Many memories to cherish.
Memories of the adventures of two retired empty-nesters who moved to an island off of Vancouver Island. Tales of setting up a marina in the middle of somewhere.

SAVING PORT HARVEY FOR ALL BOATERS
Below is an article from the North Island Eagle about the passing of Bylaw 895. Click on the Pages.pdf
We have retained legal counsel who will be filing a suit in the Supreme Court to have this bylaw overturned which would stop the destruction across the bay. We are asking for donations to help with this suit into order to save Port Harvey for all boaters, whether they come to the marina or not. Port Harvey has been a safe haven for years and with this activity happening, anchoring will not be possible and it will eventually cause the Port Harvey Marine Resort to close. All help will be greatly appreciated. Below is the link to the GoFundMe account.

We are open! For the season!
UPDATE
Been busy getting things ready and have had quite a few boats. We are getting ready for our annual Canada Day celebrations. Unfortunately Capt’n Charlie is unable to come north this year but we will have music anyway, definitely his music from the CD. Hawaiian is the theme! We have afew spots left so hurry with the reservations!
Things are starting to shape up for 01st July 2018, Capt'n Charlie will be here ready to entertain everyone with songs off his CD's and rumor is there may be a dock dance one night, scary if you have ever seen me dance. Connie and Coyln off of M/V Sea Jay are running the the Ho-Shoe tourny for the tenth year running and Capt'n Charlie and his wife Diane are the defending champs and looking to repeat. Morning of the 01st we are doing a free breakfast of sausages, eggs, pancakes for all guests at the dock and a free supper the night of the 01st, last year it was baby back ribs with fresh corn on the cob and desert. This year will be as equally good. and then of course our fireworks that seem to get bigger each year (40 minutes last year). Visitors anchored in the bay and not at the docks can purchase a ticket to participate in all the activities including meals. We look forward to seeing everybody come and have a great time.
